Actually, I've been thinking for about a month about how to use a similar
GIF on pages that haven't been released to the client yet. You know, a
"Produced by Hart Consulting" doodad that is "stuck" on the site until that
last bill gets paid....No payee, no removee. What do ya'll think?
BTW, I'm working on a new site for a HW company at the moment. The initial
creative meeting was...interesting. They want something "just like Cisco,
but different". Also, "businesslike, but fun, using cute icons but not
cartoony" and "simple, but sophisticated". I never heard the word "but" so
often in my life! Sheesh -- when did people start describing
themselves/their clients only in terms of "buts"? I have vague memories of
a time when folks actually knew how to describe themselves without
resorting solely to comparisons. The people at this company are fun, but
they really need to sit down and figure out who *they* are -- otherwise
their whole company philosophy will boil down to "but not quite" and
they'll fail in the market place. Oh, well, they didn't hire me as their
company mission statement writer, just as the web designer, so I guess I'll
stop whining. <wink>
