When I first installed HS3.1 on the home and work machines, I was able
to print directly from HomeSite to the printer. Very, very handy for
adding line numbers to PERL scripts and hauling onto train for editing.
For some unexplained reason, neither program now allows me to do this.
It insists on spooling everything to the browser, which gives me crappy
browser output instead of nicely organized courier-faced output.
This is the full-blown, registered version of the software, so I've
ruled out the potential shareware triggers.
Anyone have any suggestions as to why this happened? One of these was
installed months ago, the work copy about 4 weeks ago. Both stopped
printing the way I liked this week without, so far as I can tell, any
user intervention. Nor can I find a single hint anywhere in the user
manual, help files or settings screens that suggest I can set this up
the way I had it before.
Baffled, and hoping someone knows what hoy key I hit or something to
trigger this little annoyance.
