This is not piracy or stealing whatsoever.  I'm a registered user of 
HomeSite, as are many others here.  When I installed my most recent 
version, it overwrote my old (paid-for) version, and the recent version's 
reg key doesn't work with the old one.  So I used someone else's number 
in order to access software I already own.  That may be your definition of 
piracy, but it isn't mine.  

I made my offer in good faith, assuming that anyone who took me up on it 
was in a similar position, of being a bona fide Allaire customer who wanted 
to use an earlier version of software they've already paid for, without 
going through labyrinthine dealings with the company in order to "back-
upgrade" their own software.

As an ethical professional with a lot of years in the software and Web 
businesses, I don't especially appreciate being accused of "illegal 
activities" in a public forum such as this, or any other place.
