Well well well... I knew if I dug through enough boxes of old diskettes, I'd
find that copy of HomeSite 2.5a that I archived last year sometime.
I too am somewhat disillusioned with HS 3.x, and just reinstalled 2.5a a
few moments ago... had forgotten how lean, mean yet functional it is
compared it to its successors. AND it prints directly from the application,
WITH line numbers!
If anyone wants a copy, let me know and I'll upload one to my server.
You'll also (ahem) likely need a registration number, which I can also
provide. This is a bit iffy I suppose -- however, my current serial number
for 3.0 didn't work for 2.5a (even though I did pay for and register 2.5b
last year); I had to go to a warez site to get this particular number.
But since I know anyone on this list wanting a copy of 2.5a is almost
surely a registered user of HomeSite (whatever version), I don't really feel
any compunction about providing a hacked reg number, in the present
circumstances.
