ahem. this buys into the bias that revenue stream equates to #installed
base and/or quality. NEITHER is true, particularly in this case. 

you know this could be turned on its ear - -instead of glorifying the
revenue stream corporations are handing to MSFT, the story could be
talking about how the market is being gouged ....

hmmm... i don't think the linux market is "insignificant" -- do you
consider the Mercedes or Jag markets to be "insignificant" in the car
market schema?  mayhaps insignificant in Fortune 100 companies
purchasing plans -- but F500 companies no longer (did they ever?) employ
most people in the US. and in other markets (ie abroad) there are more
small companies yet --all of whom could benefit from less expensive
alternatives to MSFT monopoly pricing.
