Ummm, try simply "the city," as New Yawkas assume the island of
Manhattan whenever those two words are uttered. We work in The City,
some of us live or keep a "place" in The City (I'm looking for one now,
but $1k+/month for a teeny studio is too steeeep for me!), but hardly
ever refer to it by its full name except in tourist t-shirts.

Anyway, why limit opportunities? There are lots of interactive shops on
Long Island and in New Jersey as well as in the city (I'm one of the
former, and we all know George is one of the latter <vbg>). Why not
just "Are you an interactive shop?" After all, even I may drag myself
into The City for a day of exhibit hall next week (BTW, how about a BOF?
<that's Birds of a Feather gathering - I may be single, but not THAT
forward> <vbg>).

Ever hear Jerry Seinfeld say "New York City" or "NYC"? Nah - he goes to
his apartment in the city, or asks a date if she's from New York (but
never New York City or NYC) or reluctantly visits George Costanza at his
parents' place in Queens (though technically one of the five boroughs
that comprise New Yawk City, it's a whole 'nother world of semi-urban
life).

BTW, I agree with Brent - it's a trivial point ;->.
