Both Suz and Brent have brought up the issue of computers in schools, ie,
the lack of them.

well, not sure you could bring in *40* machines for the salary savings --
unless teachers make a WHOLE lot more $ in canada than they do here.


but -- in addition to the hardware issue -- there is the issue that suz
brought up RE can the teachers use the bloody things?

how can they [the computers] be used effectively? that is more than typing
up reports or learning to do spreadsheets.

does there need to be a computer in every classroom -- or good labs w/after
school hours?

do we need to think about laptops (or even PalmPilots w/keyboards) for all
HS students, perhaps (the Texas idea). Sure could save on books, couldn't
we?
