the problem with macs not being able to read long wintel names on floppies
is supposed to be cleared up with OS 8.1
the simplest way to move files might be by networking the two computers
(ethernet) or FTPing the files up to your server and then back down to your
Mac. you also might be able to put them on a zip disk and then read them as
'full' names. compressing them should save their names also.
