1. Database driven Web sites will be the norm. Users will select what the
want, not what Webmasters want to give them.
2. The second most important thing is database driven Web sites.
3. See one and two :-)
The technological lesson is simple. Historically, when a change in
technology becomes widely adopted, rarely -- if ever -- do the leaders in
one phase become the leaders in a subsequent phase. Look at the railroads
and shipping industries.
Most of your are probably to young to remember, but way back when,
radios and TV sets had these nifty things called vacuum tubes. RCA had
about 65% of the world market for these valves as the British called
them. When transistors took over none of the tube manufactures were
important players. RCA no longer makes tubes, but Intel sure makes
semiconductor devices.
