Here we go again...

Bob, you gotta learn to stop taking quotes out of context. For
one thing, it doesn't work so well in a medium where people can easily
see the original context.

This has nothing to do with my comment. And in fact you
obviously messed up the numbers, because your example is the OPPOSITE
of what I posited, namely that Linux would require fewer lines of code
per function point.

Getting back to reality for a moment, let's retrace the flow
of conversation:

You estimated Linux at 30,000 function points based on the lines
of code (1.5M) and a rule of thumb for function points in an OS.

I responded by pointing out that quality of code is not related
to lines of code, and in fact it's usually inversely related. I
commented that it would be interesting to do a comparison on that
basis (independent analysis of function points of both Windows and
Linux, vs lines of code) and see whose code quality is better.

Bob, it's becoming obvious you're nothing more than a microsoft
apologist who's taking every underhanded opportunity you can to
misconstrue and quote out of context. You're doing it not only to me,
but to others on this list. I have no qualms about getting into these
issues, but only in a productive manner. Life's too short for me to
give Microsoft all the bashing it deserves, let alone what you
seem to think is behing heaped on you.
