(I've read Thurber, Wodehouse, Twain, Joyce, even Dave Berry,

If only it were possible to implement the Windows API on top
of Linux, like NT implements Posix. Couldn't be done,
it's so insanely huge and complex. Has the word "elegant"
dropped out of the language?
