What you could also do is findout from your ISP what additional
IP's are and get a dedicated IP.   The reason I say this is that
programs like ICQ and a few games *g* (when I have free time I
like to play mini-golf against my friends on the net).

I have a dedicated 28.8K dialup.  I also have a block of 8 IP's
to use for my other computers.  I currently have 3 computers on
my network, each with their own IP's ( An NT box as the router, a
freeBSD box for running an email server,  and a Win95 box).


And as for accessing the Linux (or FreeBSD box in my case) You
run a program called SAMBA.  It allows you to access the server
like it is a computer on your neighborhood network.  There is
also a version for Mac (I think...)
