Well, as I said I mirror 3 three sites (servers), plus other sites on the
NT. I need to let clients see stuff running on Netscape Enterprise and MS
IIS servers with ColdFusion etc. So I have the NT connected to the net via
the modem, that way I can show clients stuff and discuss it via the phone
(or NetMeeting).

I do the actual work on my Mac. Though I have several servers available on
the Mac I don't need to use them much. The reason I wanted to know how to
get through the Wingate firewall was to make the web cam on the Mac visible
to the "outside". I don't have a video capture card in the NT.

The actual term Wingate uses is "pipe request through to predetermined
server" and I give it the Mac's "intranet" address of 192.168.0.2 and the
servers port (800). There are other options but this is the one I need. So
if a web server hits the Wingate web server proxy (which has my IP address
plus a port number I assign) the request for the web page will be piped
through wingate to my Mac's web cam server.

I can set up multiple web proxy servers so I can then have a whole suite of
web servers running on (possibily) different machines, all accessable via
one IP address but different ports. This of course is overkill for the poor
old 28.8kbs modem line. (they put up the support wire for cable 12months
ago... no cable yet!)

Why do I want a web cam server???? No real reason... It allows my wife to
see our little boy (4) when she is off at conferences, even overseas, by
just using a normal web browser.

thanks
Bruce
