Tell me if we're talking about the same thing (TCP mapping aka port
mapping)
Case A
Suppose I have several computer on my lan and they want to access a
service through a proxy. I establish a connection between the local
port of my proxy and the remote port to the standard port for that
service. then I set the remote IP for that port to the IP for that
service. BTW what happen if I would like to access the same service
on different servers (news servers for example).
Case B
I want to make visible to the Internet some services that are on my
LAN (web camera). I set the local port to the port of my service and
I set the remote port and IP to the machine is running that server.
Does this work?
And if I want to let people access directly to some machine on my
LAN through their IP???
