Many thanks to Narayan and others for responding. I am glad to hear that Google wasn't right. I support your suggestions for improvement on the LibreOffice side, and you are already going out of my territory with respect to translations to other languages. It would seem to be tough, especially considering the myriad languages that LibreOffice strives to support. I do not want to stand in your way, but I think this brings to light that Google Translate has room for improvement, too. In fact, the other languages supported there seemed <plausible> with their pronunciation, and it was only English that popped out at me as being clearly not right. Wouldn't it be great if Google could correct Google Translate for the "LibreOffice" case, so you could continue using their tool which already supports XYZ languages? In this spirit, I posted to the Google Translate development group about this issue. I'm not sure how optimistic I am about LibreOffice getting a correction, but maybe LibreOffice's high profile new release together with the aligned missions of both LibreOffice and (some of) Google might bring more attention to the issue than what it might ordinarily receive.
