Ellen, that was a fascinating audiofile, and I listened to the whole
thing, but it would have been extremely helpful if you explained
what it was about instead of just providing a link that immediately
launched a five-minute audiofile.

That said, I hope AOL immediately canned the guy's ass. (I'm sure
the call has been repeatedly brought to the company's attention.)
Threatening not to cancel a customer's account unless he listened to
the canned spiel is just a jaw-droppingly bad way to try to *keep*
customers.

You ought to send this file to Gene (with a message explaining what
it is before he clicks on it). Maybe he can use it for one of his
famous customer-service columns.
