He's not my cat, I'm just the cat whisperer in this case. But I can tell you it would crush his spirit to keep him indoors. Once you've tasted freedom, not to mention three-day-old squirrel, there's no going back. My kids are indoors unless I'm watching them outside, in a fenced area.
