Hey Chris, The way our CSS stack works is that we load one layout stylesheet and one styling stylesheet. For Sapphire, the files are:
quartz/css/main.css quartz/sapphire/css/main.css. These files are uneditable by wiki admins. Knowing that we wanted everyone to customize their wikis, we built a preference to load a custom styling stylesheet to colour the layout: quartz/css/main.css MediaWiki:Quartz.css By default, MediaWiki:Quartz.css is a duplicate of quartz/sapphire/css/ main.css to give you a starting point. If, for example, you wanted to use the Beach theme but wanted to make a few changes, you'll need to copy the contents of the beach theme into your MediaWiki:Quartz.css file and then made edits. The stylesheets for the themes can be found here: http://images.wikia.com/common/skins/quartz/THEME_NAME_HERE/css/main.css -Christian On Nov 29, 2007, at 9:31 AM, Chris Stafford wrote: > we really do need a way to customize the THEMES of quartz. color > changes made for say... sapphire (the white/blue one) are going to > look out of place if the user uses slate. > > if not only for customizing, but for fixing the broken color choices > of some of them themes (*cough*smoke and its yellow text on > white*cough*) > > -chris > _______________________________________________ > Wikia-l mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.wikia.com/mailman/listinfo/wikia-l _______________________________________________ Wikia-l mailing list [email protected] http://lists.wikia.com/mailman/listinfo/wikia-l
