Randy, This is a really good idea. maybe the reason we haven't had good traction on the featured works approach is due to it being too rigorous. maybe we start with a community assessment and move from there...
What would you suggest as a community vote process? A nomination followed by x number of supporting votes and a negative vote cancels a supportive one... could this be anonymous... Is there a good polling tool available for MediaWiki?
