See if you can get (buy cheap) some NON-OEM version from someone
that carries away old machines (and their disks) when they install a new
box... Get the disk(s), Key and COA... For this version, the Key will be
a couple places (maybe).
Note there are new laws about getting a COA all by itself... Rules in this
area are a fast moving target, as are the people trying to get around them...
Reason to focus on NON-OEM?:
Note that "some" OEM versions will NOT install on different hardware.
This is generally more true the bigger the OEM_Manufacturer.
In any event OEM versions are not legal on ANY machine other than the
one they came "married to"...
(Note there are very minor exceptions to this and/or MS might be inclined
to cut some slack... YMMV).
Full retail versions are fully movable to a different SINGLE machine as
long as the original machine is "out of service"...
The reason MS came out with Activation is that people "took liberties"
with the rules they were trying to enforce on the "honor system" above...
(They were sometimes not enforceable...)

No offense taken. The problem is, a profound lack of cheddar to throw. :>
