Subject: HARD:New drive set up
My daughter just reported that her son's (age 4) hard drive is making new
noises.
My guess is it should be replaced before it goes completely.
It is an old W98 box she used a few years ago.
Is a computer that appraises at $50.00 in good condition (after it gets a
new hard drive) worth fixing?
Will you risk a used hard drive to get the right size? Most new hard drives
are too large for the BIOS of your old motherboard and will not work.
If you still want to proceed, my choice for over 8 years has been ghost.exe
ran in Real DOS Mode, to clone.
