Hi Everyone,

I found some "bad stuff" on my laptop and have been really busy
cleaning it up.

I had no idea some of the junk (spyware and one Trojan) was on there.

Still, though, I can't access any Microsoft page. I can go to Google, my
own home page, my ISPs home page, Yahoo, etc, etc, but not Google.

I did notice a number of files I wasn't sure of when I was cleaning up the
HD and am wondering if they are legit.

They were HotFix files for XP???.......or are they malware??

I found these files in the Control Panel under Add/Remove programs. I
didn't remove them because I wasn't sure about them.

Here's what they Say:

Windows XP Hotfix-KB823980
Windows XP Hotfix-KB842773
Windows XP Hotfix-(SP2 #####

There's 10 or 15 of'em.

I only have SP1 on the machine according to the system report.

I've never seen anything like this before!

Regards,

Jim
