so the cost of a new cpu should include the cost of a new OS? Not here,
I'd never play by those rules
I play by Microsoft rules. I authenticate. If you authenticate and
pass the 2nd round, the Validation Procedure, you should be playing
by Microsoft's rules, also.
... snip ...
I played by Microsoft rules.
Microsoft just emailed me with:
"Get a great deal when you buy local (U.S.)
I bought local three years ago.
The company had four shops in four local towns.
I authenticated.
When MS started the validation process, I failed.
The company was no more.
The owners went back to their own country, not USA.
I'm just waiting for Vista to come out and then I can buy the new OS.
Sometimes you try to play by the rules and you fail anyway!
Robert.
