And I responded:
IS there a how-to somewhere?
And then Wayne said:
How to do a backup? How to copy the installation files to a temp
folder so that you can burn them to a CD ? How to use fdisk to blow
away a non dos partition or to use Partition Magic to do the same
thing? How to install Windows?
How to "copy the installation files from the hidden partition".
How to "copy the installation files from the restore cd".
How to "copy the correct driver files".
Unfortunately the procedure would vary depending on how the
manufacturer decided to setup the system
We were talking specifically about Dell. (See "Subject" above.) Do you know how
they setup the system for desktop machines with XP Pro less than a year old?
Thanks.
