I would expect a simple reboot of one or the other of the problem machines
would result in a different IP, or from START>RUN cmd, run IPCONFIG /RELEASE
then IPCONFIG /RESTORE.

This should get you a unique IP address on all of them; if not, I would try
shutting completely down and bringing up the system as I previously
suggested.

Yes, I know.  I just thought maybe when I query LAPTOP I might look
for something awry......................and lo and behold, I found it!!

NOTE:     I have a problem, I guess. The IP address for DAD and
LAPTOP are the same.

This stuff is above my level of "unexpertise", but I know that shouldn't be.
However, I don't know who/what assigns numbers to who/what, nor how
to change them if necessary...
