When I opened the message, I found that Carl Houseman had written:

Nope!!   That command doesn't work. Get "system error 53 has occurred.  
The network path was not found".

The command without the * and /D works, but it doesn't seem to allow 
me to do anything.  

BTW, how would one access the laptop recources...........if the command 
had worked?  Do you mean access it via My Network Places?  No way, 
Jose.

BTW, I don't know about that D Share.  I didn't do anything to cause 
that......at least not intentionally.

Well, that's the whole crux of the matter and has been all along.
 
What do you suggest I do now?
