of this year. Every one of those boxes will be capable of handling 6
simultaneous downloads. Look at the adoption rates for DVRs and consider
that TiVo now lets you obtain content off the net. Look at the
increasing popularity of Internet telephony and ask yourself how long
before someone tries to bring back video phones. Or consider the effects
when the word Internet is made to precede words like refrigerator, home
stereo, house, clothing, etc as we have heard to varying degrees of hype
over the years. Even the technology analyst that was quoted believes the
demand will be there within two years.
