They can make money, but i sometimes feel they do things to maximize the
cost. I.e: It's more advantageous to make people upgrade to a higher cost
plan to get better upload speeds (it was the big draw for me - and it's
costing $240 more per year). I expect it will remain so, even when there are
few technological reasons for a 1.5 meg down and 128 up. (When i got
my 1.5meg, it was 384 up.)
