to well the type of user sharol is talking about and believe me, it's well
worth making them pay for updates. It also gives them a clue that you need
to pay for the software you use.

So create a script that automatically downloads the updates from the
McAfee FTP or Web site & then schedule it to run once a week or so.
Works great here. ;-)  This is how I get around the subscription fee
as the updates are free <ftp://ftp.nai.com/CommonUpdater/> but the
scheduling, downloading & auto run the update is what the fee is for.
Why pay for that when my computer can do this nicely?
