Isn't it the router (or cable/DSL modem) that gets the Internet
side IP address? I don't understand how two computers on the
Internet can have the same IP address.
they don't have the same address - each would have a different one. No
idea if that is why they charge $49 for additional ones online... i
bought a router and will get it ready for the girls to plug in when
the guy leaves next week. Assuming they come on the scheduled date.
I think it will be 50 yrs before i get cable. <g> Going in was almost
as bad as the phone... still no idea what the different packages are
but they are on a 6 mon digital silver plan for like $30 and she said
they can downgrade after the special pricing expires - we'll see. They
don't want $80/mo for cable.
