I'm 6-foot two, eyes of blue. Married with grown children (I know you will
LOVE this, Rick <smile>.)
Yea, I always "like" your show, soft shoe dance, and stand up comedy
act during these questions... (not...)
And I feel like a Dentist... An oral surgeon that specializes in extractions,
so to speak... But I try anyway... <grin>
When I said what method do you use, I think you said you hit the
download button. I ass-u-me that you get the standard MS dialog box
after that, and the browser does the rest...
It would seem that that is not "working too well" for you... <grin>
I would go get the MD5 program I suggested for free, and see if all these
D/L you were getting were "the same". You said you saw differences IIRC,
and/or if any of them match what others are getting... Did you even look
for the MD5 info on the D/L page while you were just there?
(Feed back, we need feedback.......)
It would have been a good chance to let me know MS did not have that, etc...
Until you can "give us something to work with" we are all just wasting
our time talking in circles... (Any you may never know where to start
looking...)
Last two times I cured a computer of a D/L problem it turned out to be
something wrong with their ethernet cards. Replacing it cured the entire
problem...
YMMV... That was not my "first thought" but was the final outcome...
They could surf perfectly normally BTW, it was just a real bad problem
with D/Ls.
You can MD5 the file with a number of free programs. (I linked to a free one.)
I will spell GETRIGHT for you (yet again), but never said it was free.
(You can try it for free though come to think of it...)
There are free down load manager programs, and I tried some.
I use this. I guess the others were no good...
(I forget, it has been awhile, but I stick with free if it is any good...)
