Two things: 1) presumably that's not a real problem. One would hope that quickbooks is not actually "running IE" and randomly surfing the net, but rather using the low-level IE HTTP/HTML libraries to fetch stuff from various banks, brokers, etc. I don't think this is a real security problem (although it is always possible that the <YOURBANK> website got hacked and in picking up your new transactions something nasty came along with). 2) I'm surprised that you have to run quickbooks as admin. I only use Quicken-basic and it is a fussy PITA but you can get it to co-exist with a limited account without *too* much tweaking. > Or, If IE is NOT embedded into QBW, then IE will be in Limited mode... > (I don't think I have "EVER" been on the Internet in plain Limited mode.) I don't understand this last: why not? I *only* am on the Internet *not* in limited mode if I specifically need to do something that requires being admin [e.g., windows update..:o)]. Have you tried asking about this on the quicken newsgroup? There are some pretty savvy folk there and a bunch who are sympathetic to the notion that you shouldn't be doing these mundane sorts of things as admin and so they might be able to help you out. Clearly QBW has some sort of browser-ness or something that just quicken-basic doesn't.... sorry.. /Bernie\ -- Bernie Cosell Fantasy Farm Fibers mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Pearisburg, VA --> Too many people, too few sheep <-- -- ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is your picture included in the Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page? http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html If not, write to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
