Have you tried asking about this on the quicken newsgroup? There are
some pretty savvy folk there and a bunch who are sympathetic to the
notion that you shouldn't be doing these mundane sorts of things as admin
and so they might be able to help you out. Clearly QBW has some sort of
browser-ness or something that just quicken-basic doesn't.... sorry..
No need to be sorry... It got me thinking... I'm going to look into this,
starting from scratch...
I have used QuickBooks since the very first Windows version. (Called
version 2 believe it or not...) <grin>
