When your computer runs, does it begin to overheat? My dad's desktop
exhibited similar symptoms to your machine except that I would get an error
beat from the BIOS and when the computer would boot, it would overheat. The
culprit turned out to be a bad Ram. I had it replaced and the machine is
running smoothly.
I presume you have been able to backup the contents of the hard disk?
