Yes, I running a Gigabyte socket 939 with a 3700+ AMD64 that is . I'm trying
to decide whether it is more economical/feasible to upgrade the cpu, memory
(I have "only" 1 GB), video (x600 with 128 mb ram) and software, or just
wait awhile and build a new system once Vista is "stable." 

I didn't jump to XP right away and may do the same with Vista. I like the
latest and greatest, but can't always justify the expenses vs. added
capabilities over and above the "gee-whiz" factor.
