My kernel compile install went fine. One area I didn't have too much trouble.
I'm running mdk8.0. Stock kernel 2.4.3-20mdk
I patched with Kernel-Win4Lin2-Mandrake8.0_2.4.3.20-02.patch
went through the usual steps - but not much configuration aside from
disabling APM
no errors and ide-scsi seems to be working okay - tho I haven't burned a cd
