You can tell the Bob goes to work earlier than 7:30 to 9:00 am if he doesn't think there is a problem at 61/43. There need to be two left turn lanes or a way to keep those going straight on Mankato from stopping the traffic who needs to turn left as they do not allow those turning left to move because they block the turn lane. Has the city discussed opening a road off County 21 behind St. Mary's following Gilmore Valley Creek and then crossing it onto Gilmore Avenue thus avoiding the 14/61 mess? This would be residential traffic only and a lot safer to empty the valley and a scenic bike ride. While it wouldn't help those in Knopp Valley it would cut traffic by 2/3's. Also those at the end of the valley working on the east end might find it more enjoyable to take 21 to 43 or taking County 44 across the ridge. Once the other two lanes are finished on 43 it might even be faster and safer. Paul Double
