I've seen similar,
suggestions:
verify that nobody is trying to use "enhanced 802.11 speeds when the others
aren't (22 Mbs etc)
in fact lock in at 1 or 2 on both ends for testing purposes.
set your SSID back to default or something REALLY basic.
Disable wep
disable mac filtering
make sure you are broadcasting your SSID
check and double check your antenna settings
(unfortunately you have 2 sets of points of failure like this: client side
and AP side)
attach a laptop with a card in it at the point where your wap in client mode
is.
This will rule out a lot of possibilities.
All of this is for testing sake. add services back as you like once your
connected.
by attaching a laptop you can get a better look at the air around you.
do you see anything detailed in the logs?
perhaps consider temporarily adding an amp on either end (they let you see a
blinking LED to show your traffic)
perhaps add and configure an snmp server with free downloadable stuff and
have a bit more detailed of a view.
good luck.
I'm sure most of these are things you've tried or are sure are not the
problem. I can't tell you how many times I've found something different
from the last time I left it when I was sure I set it a particular way.
