With diversity antennas, does the WAP11 continiously transmit and recieve on
both antennas or does it switch between antennnas, choosing the "best"
antenna for a particular sub-second period? I thought it was the latter.

My settings are:

Basic rate: 1, 2, 5.5, 11
Transfer rate: 1, 2, 5.5, 11
Mode: point-to-point and point-to-multipoint bridge
SSID: Different in both of them
Wep: 128 bits
Diversity antenna in both of them.
Beacon interval: 70

I was told that it would be better not to use diversity antenna as the wap
would divide it's power in both of them. I use a 12 dbi omni in one side
and a 16 dbi VAGI in the other together with their own 2.2 rubber duck
antennas.

Finally: after your wap stopped working did yout test them again while
each one next to other ? this would ensure they're not damaged and that
maybe your noise conditions has increased.
