Boot from the Win2000 install disks and choose the repair option.  That will
prompt you to load the ERD.  The ERD has a complete copy of the registry,
among other things.  I believe you can still load the registry hives
separately just like in NT4, so you won't have to restore everything.  It
first inspects the registry, then restores user accounts, then checks your
setup environment, verifies the NT system files, and finally inspects the
boot sector.

However, if your ERD is not current, you stand a good chance of mucking
something else up, that being anything installed in your registry since the
ERD was created.

Probably have an emergency disk somewhere but not sure how that would solve
my problems. I can seems that the plug and play install file is the problem
it install a corrupted registry. I guess I could boot from the Win 2000
Server install disk but what would I do have it do a repair?

The last good config might not work since I followed the directions and
uninstalled the devices then rebooted and let plug and play do the install.
