All understood, but it is you who will have to make a decision on whether there are more of the 'too much traffic' or 'too strict' complaints, and from who do each of these comments come from?
Do the 'too much traffic' comments come from people that are already more than familiar with web standards, or do they come from people that are not familiar with web standards? I'll bet you anything that I know where they come from, and I would also be able to describe the kind of person that sends those comments (but I won't on list ;-) Maybe you should hold a poll again, I believe we sort of had one a while ago, to me it looked like the outcome was that most people wanted to keep off topic posts marked with [OT], but I could be wrong there. Also, the facility you provided for off topic posts is great, but is it used? If not, why? My reasoning; because it does not have the same effect as keeping it on the list, you want it on the list so everyone can see the post and maybe join in at some stage. PS. I agree with Mario S. Cisneros' comment. My 2 pesetas. ***************************************************** The discussion list for http://webstandardsgroup.org/ See http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm for some hints on posting to the list & getting help *****************************************************
