Isn't that something of a blinkered view, Felix? I'm sorry your prior experience with forums has been negative, yet I'm senior mod on a very productive forum and have a team of great guys working to help others benefit from our collective skillsets. We don't bother with the SEO stuff; we do bother with the level of support we offer our members. Sometimes you just have to forget the business angle and get back to what the Web really could be about.
I suppose it's a question of what you put into something weighed against what you expect to get out of it. With two significant exceptions (1-links from search engines; 2-one particular forum for which I've never found a counterpart elsewhere), I never visit web forums. The one I do use is a constant reminder how unfriendly web sites can be, particularly forums. When the mods here move a thread to the forum, for me it's over. I've not been there yet, and have no plans to go there, ever. -- "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity." Colossians 4:5 NIV Team OS/2 ** Reg.
