I'm fairly new, and I like this list a lot! I agree with Jackie that an 
OT list could be beneficial (not essential), and that a forum would be 
undesirable(painful on dialup).

One of the reasons OT topics get started and go so interestingly here is 
that the folks on this list are informed, intelligent, and mature - and 
your input is thoughtful and interesting! It's natural to want to hear 
what you-all have to say about other "related" topics.

Applause to those who are keeping things on-topic and balancing the fine 
line between pruning the bush till it dies, and trimming enough to allow 
vibrant growth.
