Hi all,
Hi Joe,
As Edson suggested, I think we have a milestone of sorts. I have
committed Bill's code for audio I/O, along with changes that make
reporting to the PSKreporter site always use Edson's built-in code
rather than the Windows DLL.
Ok, I have a few more changes ready, particularly a proper fix for the
*nix crash issues, these really need to go in with the basic Qt audio
changes.
I am now using Qt 5.1 on both Windows and Linux. I think it will not
be possible to build this code exactly as it is under Qt4, because of
some changes in the QAudio API. (The necessary changes for Qt4 may be
rather minor.)
I haven't looked at Qt4 yet since I have no Qt4 dev environment yet. I'm
slightly sidetracked looking at build improvements since this seems to
be an area of many issues. I am putting together a CMake script which
has great Qt integration as well as very good
multiplatform/multitool/cross-compile support. It is far more modern
than the rather creaking and clumsy autotools suite. One of the goals of
this is Qt4 & Qt5 builds as well as 32 & 64 bit builds and platform
independence.
I have bumped the version number to 1.2, and I'm suggesting that we
make a new release fairly soon. If you see any show-stoppers or have
other reservations, please make them known!
