On WSJT-X startup the waterfall is blank until t=0 at the top of the
next minute. Although the first fractional minute of received data
doesn't usually yield any decodes, it's still nice to see signals and
noise on the waterfall. I think this has something to do with the way
you initialze things in the new audio input code.
Related to the above: I note that the waterfall is also black during
most of the 10 s after the end of each transmission, before the next Rx
sequence begins. This should not be the case, it's handy to see what
the baseline is like in the gap between Tx cycles.
