Joe,

I for one am in favor of the change. My transceiver apparently has slightly 
different gain or ALC sensitivity on each band, and not having to fiddle with 
the power out slider would be welcome.

Could you explain the rationale behind this suggested feature?

Why might I want WSJT-X to remember particular power output settings on
a band-by-band basis?

Why would I (in general) want to adjust my power output by using the
slider on the WSJT-X screen, rather than by making an adjustment on the
transceiver itself?

To what fraction of our users might such a feature be important?  (I
have seen no clamor in favor of it.)
