To save those 30 seconds, I've lately set my software to do signal report
only when responding to a CQ on 6 meters, and I have noticed others doing
that as well, especially JAs. Which is fine, I'll get the grid when I
confirm the contact.

I'm sensing that report-only would also not be a good universal default
