Actually I don't even have to transmit.
If I click to disable "Monitor" and then click again, this button
again lights up in green but the waterfall does not start and
there is nothing decoded. But the seconds indication down to the
right (0-15/15 in FT8 etc) still updates.
And again, this is not on Raspberry Pi, where I first saw the problem, but on my stationary machine, an amd64 running linux mint, with latest version of WSJT.X.

I have both tried with an USB soundcard on RBPi and on my stationary machine. On the latter I have the same problem also with motherboard audio.
This autosuspend seems only to apply for USB.
When the waterfall (and any reception) has stopped in WSJT-X I can still see in the system Sound Preferences that audio is coming on the the input/mic. So I don't think it has to do with the sound device itself, but with WSJT-X.

What does your audio chain look like?
Have you tried disabling autosuspend?
set autosuspend=-1

_______________________________________________Hi all,
I still experience this problem, described below. Now tested on WSJT-X v2.5.4 under Linux Mint.
Waterfall stops updating after TX. Without any radio connected at all. So not an RFI issue.
Am I the only one that has seen this problem?
Thanks,
Daniel

Thank you for several suggestions about RFI, but unfortunately it is not. I get the same result without any radio connected whatsoever.

Hi, while that may work it's in my view better to find the source of any RFI and get rid of it.
You never know what else it might be doing!
Try the setup on a dummy load and if it's then OK look at the antenna/feeder arrangement.

Hi Daniel,
Sounds like RF from your own transmissions is getting through tothe RasPi and disabling the USB-ports. Installing snap-on ferritesto both ends of the USB-cables, Raspi power-wire and any otherpossible connections might help.

When the program startsthe waterfall shows the FFT data as it should so I don't think thisis a performance issue. But when transmitting, it just stops anddoesn't start again until I restart the program.I have asked this question earlier this year but didn't get a reply. Now I updated to WSJT-X 2.4.0 but the exact same problem is stillthere.
Any thoughts?

Hi Daniel,
that may be an RFI issue, is your audio link to the rig using a USBinterface?
