This would only work if the Android devices is using the same hack as some of the PNA manufacturers and I would highly doubt that. Besides that, most Android devices don't have any serial port driver support, so XCSoar wouldn't recognize them anyway. As Tibor pointed out, Rob is working with the IOIO board to provide the Android devices with two seperate serial ports that can be used in XCSoar directly. I don't know about the exact state of the project but I'm sure he will tell us when he is done.
