Hi folks,
This is an very interesting item!!
Rob, you'd do me a favoure, if you inform me -and all the others- when
your IOIO board is ready.
I'm looking for getting a streak too, but exactly this reason is
stopping me - til now...
maybe I can create a board myself using the 'eagle' software, but I don
have any idea of planning it..
I'm just a mechanical engineer, not an electrician ...

Jim,
We're developing a cable link between the Android phones (e.g. Dell
Streak) and the serial loggers (e.g. CAI302).
I have a beta version of this working in my ship and hope to include
in a release soon.
It requires a cable and converter box with the IOIO board. I'll
publish the wiring diagram for it soon. It's possible someone may
start reselling these, or they can be made with a soldering iron.

Any plans get serial input into the device? Or any other way to
transfer air speed or even magnetic heading?
You can use a Bluetooth-RS232 adapter like K6-Bt to connect to a
vario/logger/FLARM. XCSoar cannot do that yet on Android, but we will
have it for version 6.1. K6-Team has donated a K6-Bt to the XCSoar
project, which I will use for development and testing.
The Streak has a built-in compass, by the way.

Am I mis-reading this? What I think I read is that there is currently no
way to WIRE my Cambridge 302A to the Streak.
Please say it isn't so! (unless, of course, it is)
Thanks,
Jim
